I found the poem moving owing to the expression of a roomani innocence but also find it a little naive politically. It boosts our morale as teachers to read our colleagues'literary expressions, specially when the subject matter is children. Nevertheless, it is always a challenge and dilemma to negotiate between the needs of emotional security (which demands a belief in the fairness and innocence of the world) on the one hand and political maturity of children on the other, particularly in their younger years when they are still in the primary classes.
